Concepts

Concepts help people distinguish what is happening and what kind of response it calls for. Each entry connects to a practical move and an example.

Developed entries

Generative Accountability: Account for what happened and its effects, then create and check the changes needed for repair, reliable conduct, and less recurrence. This includes individual action and the conditions under which people are expected to act.

Whole Story Assembly: Bring together enough relevant history, perspectives, conditions, and possibilities to understand a situation and respond intelligently.

Working the Problem Under Conscience Pressure: Name the strain and active figuring-out when visible needs exceed available responses, and use four checks to choose a next contribution.

Distinctions used throughout

  • Recognition / coordination: A problem can be acknowledged while the need remains unmet.
  • Needed / offered / usable / delivered: Each describes a different resource state.
  • Request / proposal / accepted commitment / outcome: None implies the next.
  • Explanation / agreement / responsibility: Context can change a judgment without automatically settling it.
  • Immediate response / upstream change: Address the live consequence and the conditions producing it.
  • Broken Life Math: When essential obligations exceed available resources, rearranging them cannot by itself close the gap. Check amounts, timing, reliability, and the work needed to obtain resources.
  • Meanwhiles: Everything else that keeps running while attention is on one thing: the world’s ongoing processes, and the parallel threads a person is responsible for holding. A future possibility is not present coverage.
  • Association / hypothesis / checked claim: A useful connection remains provisional until its support has been examined. Nothing promotes silently.

Fog of Story and Situation Intelligence remain candidates for separate articles. Deconfliction, needs coordination, and negotiation are developed in Methods & Tools.
